Men.. I need your help! Not a health question. But I need to know your opinion on this subject! Urgent?

Hi, My boyfriend just called me and told me that he was installing a faucet (tap). To give you an idea of his maintenance aptitude... The refirgerator was accidently unplugged and he sent out for a new one, thinking the old one broke down. Anyway's he told me he flooded his bedroom by installing this faucet and on top of that he had an emergency pumber come in.He tells me the plumber had to turn off the electricity to the house to avoid getting shocked. When in all actuauality he told me it was just his bedroom that got flooded. Is this even possibe? I have never heard of someone having to cut the electricity to a house because of of some minor flooding.Much less... flooding an entire room putting in new faucet.
Answer:
I have had to clean a flood in a room at a nursing home I worked at once, and you bet you backside I cut the power. There were power cords that were touching the water...better safe than sorry. So of course it is possible and more than likely probable.

You do however need to remind your BF to turn of the WATER next time...well actually...tell him to not touching anything to begin with.
will maybe there are wires going thru that rooms knowing that flouding leek down the walls of rooms under the one flouded ,, so , its totally reasonable to me
Why, as a woman, would you insult other women by assuming only a man would be able to answer this question? Just because we are women doesn't mean we can't do things!

An important thing to do before turning off the water. If he didn't do this, he probably had water going everywhere. If you don't turn off the water, you will flood the room. Why did it flood his room and not the room with the faucet? Did he break a pipe? If the flooding was enough to be near an outlet, then I would have turned off the water too... water in an electrical outlet will cause you to get shocked.
he may be lying but yes if its ac or if its dc power either way you need to turn off the electricity plus i dont see how i could just flood his room only usualy it would go under the door or maybe through the wall but i think that you need to go over there and see for yourself.im a man and sometimes we can exaggerate and say stuff thats not really happening but if your bf really likes you then he wouldnt lie and just say stuff if you want my opinion i would just go over to his house and see if hes lying or not.if he is and this has happened before then i would not stay with him for long but if it hasnt and hes lying then just scold him and tell him not to lie to you ever again and scream in his face or something but make him know that you will not tolerate him lying to you again.i hope this was good advice cause i think it is.
What's the question?
sounds like your bf needs to put down the tools and NEVER try to fix anything again - EVER.
I think your boyfriend is full of crap.
First he should have turned off the water(shut-off valve)
I've never heard of ANYONE turning off the power because of a leak. Only when you work on the hot water heater.
Maybe you should let him leak out of your life
It depends if it was a week day or on the weekend. Besides it could have been his own faucet that did this. Look Out!
